Anna and Hatchette Book Group are generously sponsoring a giveaway of 5 copies of William Sears's Prime-Time Health.
About the Book:
Twelve years ago, renowned physician and author Dr. William Sears was diagnosed with cancer. He, like so many people, wanted-and needed-to take control of his health. Dr. Sears created a comprehensive, science based, head-to-toe program for living a long, fit life-and it worked. Now at the peak of health, Dr. Sears shares his program in Prime-Time Health. This engaging and deeply informative book will motivate readers to make crucial behavior and lifestyle changes. Dr. Sears explores how to keep each body system healthy and delay those usual age-related changes.

I walk thirty minutes a day to counteract the side-effects of insulin. I'm hoping that Dr.Sears has recommendations for the effect treatment for gastroparesis and kidney disease.

It's not actually a habit I "developed", but one I was born with. I eat slowly. This gives my mind time to catch up with my stomach, so I usually don't eat too much.

I drink lots of water.... and need to work out more
ReplyDeleteI need to drink more water. The main thing that I need to practice is to remain on schedule with my medications and to take the pain medications before the pain gets out of hand. I have systemic lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoporosis that we just can't seem to get under control. Maybe this book will have the answers for me.

I take JP+ everyday along with a healthy diet consisting of mostly plants. I also go to the gym and workout one hour, five out of seven days a week. This has kept me lean, younger, and now my daughter with special needs who is 15 does the same thing. She has trimmed off 12 pounds just from a healthier lifestyle. No diet necessary!
