Yet things are not going well for Tony Stark. The U.S. military demands control of the most powerful weapon on earth--the Iron Man suit. His beautiful new assistant has a strange, mysterious agenda while his best friend, Rhodey, has betrayed him. 1. I recommend "Becoming Alice: A Memoir" by Alice Rene. Alice tells her story about escaping the Nazis during World War II and her family's struggles in adjusting to their new lives in America. It's an engrossing story and I highly recommend it.

  3. I recommend Before I Fall by debut author Lauren Oliver. The story is unique and thought provoking. The experiences and transformation of the main character makes it pefect for the middle school and high school classroom. Can be used to commence dialouge with students conerncing issues important to them.

  9. I actually recently read "Wish You Were Dead" by Todd Strasser. I totally enjoyed it and read through it like lightning. Even we older adults can read and relate, because all of the typical high school characters appear and there is someone we can each relate to. It's a "who is doing it" with a modern bloggy/cyberstalky twist. You'll keep guessing "whodunnit" 'til the very end!

~Awesome Romeo & Juliet type story

    Unwind by Neal Shusterman
~One of those set-in-the-future, really makes you think stories. Abortion is outlawed - instead parents can decide to have their teenagers unwound.

    The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong
~If you like her Otherworld series, check out her Darkest Powers YA series. Same world - new characters & new situation. (Urban Fantasy - werewolves, witches, necromancers, demons.)

~Asteroid strike shifts the moon MUCH closer to Earth. This tells what happened after and how it effected everything.
