A NYC Snow Day - free hot chocolate & sledding!



Earlier this morning, Mayor Bloomberg announced that the parks are open today and the Parks Department will be giving out free hot chocolate and lending sleds in parks throughout the City while supplies last from 11 am to 3 pm.


Mommy Poppins posted a list of the snow fun and sledding locations in the five boroughs:

Bronx:
Crotona Park
Fulton Avenue between 172nd Street and Crotona Park North

Brooklyn:
Prospect Park
Prospect Park West at 9th Street

Manhattan:
Riverside Park
Riverside Drive at 103rd Street

Queens:
Lower Highland Park
Jamaica Avenue & Elton Street

Staten Island:
Clove Lakes Park
Martling and Slosson Avenues

  1. Wow, what a treat! I just love NYC! If I could get there from here today, I would! Parks are something I never visit when I'm in NY, and it would be a real treat to go to one and hang out! I love photographing in the winter and one of these days I promised myself I'd go to Central Park! But As I drive to and through the city I always notice interesting Parks along the way! Thanks for the list! And the heads up on NYC hospitality!
